Plain coverage of the floor
Data Center Dispatch is a daily news and analysis site for the people who actually run data centers — operators, facilities engineers, and the teams keeping power, cooling and uptime in band while the AI buildout doubles the load.
We cover one thing well: the infrastructure behind the AI boom. That means data center PUE and efficiency, power and cooling, thermal management, DCIM, environmental and rack temperature monitoring, and the stranded capacity that hides inside facilities that look full but aren't. We write for a technical, skeptical reader who has heard every vendor pitch and wants the part that's actually true.
No hype, no buzzwords, no breathless takes on the next platform. The stories here are meant to be useful on a Monday: what changed, why it matters to your floor, and what a sober operator would do about it.
Published by AKCP
Data Center Dispatch is published by AKCP, a data-center monitoring vendor in business since 1981. We disclose that plainly because you should know who funds the work you read. AKCP makes monitoring hardware and software; this publication is editorially independent of it. Our coverage is written to be useful whether or not you ever buy a sensor from anyone — and we'll happily tell you when the answer to a problem isn't more instrumentation.
What we believe
Data over opinion
The strongest argument in this field is a measurement. We lead with what the sensors and meters actually show, and we say so when the data is thin.
Restraint is the moat
Most coverage of this industry is too loud. We'd rather publish one careful piece than five reactive ones. Density and accuracy beat volume.
Written for operators
If it doesn't help someone keep a facility efficient and in band, it doesn't run. The audience is the person on call, not the person on stage.
Disclosure, always
We tell you who publishes us and where our commercial interest lies. Independence isn't a slogan; it's a habit of saying the inconvenient thing.
